Customizing jpg output

Hi,

I'm new to CHDK and am thinking of buying a Canon just to get CHDK functionality, but I have a question about what is possible.  Specifically I would like to change the colors in a jpg created in the camera.  I could of course do this after taking the picture and uploading the raw data, but I wonder if it is possible to do it in camera?  Say calculate special lookup tables to alter the RAW to jpg conversion.

Possible?  If so how could this be done?

This was presently being worked on, search the forum.

(And this should have been posted in Feature Requests. Or rather, not posted there either. As this has already been requested many times in various forms.)
Hi,

Sorry for being a newbie.  I did search "custom" and "customize jpg".  I found one thread about maybe doing something, but could not find a cogent discussion of what is possible or what has already been done.  Perhaps not much has been done in this area yet.  Could you recommend better search words to use?

Try "custom" and "processing"

Right now, we have only sum and average of RAW files. Then you "develop" the result and obtain a JPG file.

No colours jet, but toniech is trying to do some tone curve adjust or something.

In a few months we will have the whole THE GIMP implemented in CHDK :)
