I'm packing my luggage to go for some rally racing photography and I don't have the time to read all this as I'm due to leave in a few hours. I may read this text and test the camera on the way there but I should get one addon or another on my SDs in the next few hours.
so which build should I put in my camera? this or Fingalo's?

Now it's clear - the Canon guys have a lot of homework to do to top that - Face Detection? Oh come on, [* appropriate expletive deleted by the management :D] -off Face Detection  8)

The funny thing is that many users might buy Canon cams just to use CHDK - and Canon will produce cams which don't accept CHDK firmware, thats for sure :'(

You don't have two SD cards I guess ^^ ?

(* Sorry for the minor edit Emu, but acseven asked me to keep an eye on language, as appropriate as I think it might be, I had to delete it LOL...  Woodsman)
np - but i had to write that  :lol

A710:
ISO 60 is working
- all settings between 1 and 99 produces ISO 60 in the review BUT the pics with lower settings are brighter - at least while using flash - (some overexosures) than the higher settings. not sure if the REAL ISO is allways 60, no idea how to find that out... hm
BUT WHY HAST THE CAM THE ABILITY TO SHOW ISO 60 - THESE CANON  :-X PREFERED ISO 80OR WHAT?

I have 2 SDs but I'm gonna use both. I didn't know you can cut and paste files. so I'm gonna take both firmwares on each card.

SORRY - I was so amazed that I read 60 instead of 1/60
I WAS STARRING AT THE EXPOSURE AND THOUGHT I WAS LOOKING AT THE ISO VALUE... OMG ^^

but at least I can say for now that i have shots brighter than ISO 800 and darker than ISO 80 with constant exposure.
Well I think now I can say that ISO 1600 is working at the A710is - and the quality is... NIIIIIIICEEEE! Higher than ISO 1600 is no diff.

I tested in A630 and work great. I tested ISO 50 but its no change between 50, 80 << its this same :) Speed Shutter works but limit is 65 seconds ? I can set more but i tested 120 second and observed time and "end" is in 65 seconds :)

How work Tv bracketing ? I set this in 1/3 EV and use shutter speed, bracketing is enable (i see this in LCD) camera make fotos but ony 2 fotos is different.

This is absolutely incredible - in fact all the work everyone has put in.  What's left - I guess someone will figure out how to  get it to cook dinner next week!  :P

One small problem before I can try it - there is no build for the 570.  I guess that will be just a matter of time I hope.

Congratulations to Allbest for the latest incarnations and to all the others for their great addittions over the last few months.  What a camera I have! - well hopefully  :D

Cheers
