Bonjour,
I need your help to setup a modern development environment (Ubuntu, Eclipse, Plugin, targetted porting, ...) You are the only place where I express my software development enthousiam so I am asking you some recommandations and shares.
I am an experienced software developer, but long time ago, that has to develop muti-threaded real-time applications for arm-unix (RTos, Android, Unix-like) environments on dedicated small hardware (controler, home-made, ...).
I am fluent in C, Fortran, ADA, Pascal, ... I am aware of OO C++, Java, ... I am just a physicist with profound knowledges of electronics and informatics. Windows and Ubuntu have few secrets for me. I could develop for wifi/bluetooth real-time acquisition/monitoring over Android (may be BlackBerry) or Ubuntu phone, for analog/digital controller (here is a good example:
FreeScale Cup on Youtube)
I am a serious programmer for embedded software but lack of modern software development environment.
I would work under Ubuntu. I am looking for Eclipse (which packages? Subversive? Subclipse?), C plugin (CDT?), for package (parallel?), ...
First, I am new to Eclipse but I have to, and used to, learn fast.
I know I am asking for a lot but all comments will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance
