Hi,
I followed all of the steps on the wiki and when I go to do a firm update of the camera I get this error : "Update File Error!!!".  I am sure I did something simple wrong, but please help me.

I don't know how you managed to obtain a PS.FI2 file for the S5IS (to get the 'Firm update' entry at all) but that particular file needs to be encrypted and we don't really know how yet, so you cannot use that method. You'll have to use the bootdisk method.

I went on to the i650 page and it said to make a blank file named ps.fi2, and that gave me the entry.   Please explain the bootdisk method.  I have copied over the bootdisk file and made it bootable, but how do I actually flash/run the fw on it?

A650, I presume? And what do you expect from an empty file? That page also doesn't really say that you can use it to start CHDK. Anyway, stick to the bootdisk method until someone figures out how to create working PS.FI2 files.

OK so I just have to have the card bootable and locked, with the bootdisk on it for it to load from the menu?
