Canon S100 can't use CHDK?

Maybe someone here can give me an assist?  I am totally confused here (which is normal for me)..

I've used ACID to obtain the correct build for my firmware version.  Install on my SD card and made bootable.  I locked the card and was able to successfully boot my camera from it..  Menu's work as they should..

My issue is..  The card is locked!  I can't write pictures to it..   I try to pull the card out so I can unlock it and the camera immediately turns off..  If I put the unlocked SD card back in and turn it on, then thats it for the SD card, have to use ACID again to make it bootable because the camera destroys the boot sector..

Am I missing a step?

Why do you say that you cannot write pictures to the card ?

Have you tried taking a photo, did you get some error message ?

I was just reading on another site that said it will write to the card regardless..  :)  I'll try it when I get home tonight..   Was worried as i am a long time user of lockable media..  yes, even those old 3.5 floppies and 100Mb ZIP disks... lol

CHDK intercepts the camera's digital inputs and masks the bit for the SD card lock so that the camera thinks the card is unlocked.
