Newbie question...

I have an SX10IS with what appears to be a

Firmware Ver GM1.01A
E18

In searching these forums, I can only find references and modified firmware to the SX10, as in 1.00C / 1.01A / 1.01B / 1.02B / 1.03A.

Are these the right ones? Or is the SX10 and the SX10is totally different machines?

Thanks in advance.

Same camera - the initials after the model number are mostly marketing mumbo-jumbo.    IS is reported to mean "image stabilization" and HS is reported to mean "high sensitivity" - but who knows?

You have 1.01A firmware on your camera - use that CHDK version.

Or better still,  use the STICK utility to find the right file,  download it, setup your SD card and install CHDK for you.
