Well, I honestly cannot see any obvious difference.
Do you honestly prefer the lower-contrast, less detailed RAW version in the animation below ?

The problem is this way there's no way to calibrate appropriate level of each R,G,B channel without hardware. And this is maybe more important while talking about colors:)

I'm still trying to find the degaussing button on my monitor ....
.:. most CRT monitors have DEGAUSS function - use it before calibration.
