Digicanon Uploader mirror?

The link on the wiki, as well as 4 others I've found are dead. There is an old download hosted on digicanon's site that isn't dead, but always corrupts before finishing. It would be appreciated if someone would re-upload the latest version to a site that still exists.

Can you be more specific? What kind of files are you talking about?

The link on this page still appears to work : http://digicanon.narod.ru/rawenabler.htm  The zip file downloaded and opened perfectly fine on my computer.

But I have to wonder why you would want to use it - its really, really old!   I can only guess that you might be following really really old instructions you found somewhere in the internet.

If so, current information about obtaining CHDK for your camera and loading it is always found right here :  http://chdk.wikia.com/wiki/Prepare_your_SD_card

That's the link that always corrupts for me. I'm stuck on 56k so the download isn't instant, and for whatever reason that seems to be a problem. I want to use it because I don't have an SD slot on my computer.

Hmmm ... I just deleted the reference to it on the FAQ as I'm not really sure it will do you any good.  However,  if you want to try a different download link,  I put the file here : https://www.box.com/s/ebyflmmg62icaauunm86
Looking at the readme file it comes with,  I suspect it will only work with an A610 and quite frankly, could easily "brick" your camera.

Let us know how it works our for you?

p.s.   USB SD card readers can be found for much less that $10 (US$) - it might be a good investment compared to the time you are going to spend trying to make the download thing work ....

Thanks for the link. The wiki referenced a forum post, that one and two or three others I found said it works with many models if you simply change the camera/file name in FirmInfo.txt. It didn't work for me though. I have an A630 and would only get the generic error "File(s) containing firmware update cannot be found." I suppose I'll have to wait on a reader.

Did you change the filename in the FirmInfo.txt file ?  By default, its looking for PS_A610.FIR.   You probably need to change that to PS.FIR - or change the name of the PS.FIR from the CHDK dowload zip file to PS_A610.FIR.

I still don't think this is a very good idea.  At a minimum you probably need to find a older 1.0.0 version of CHDK for your camera as using this method will not load the additional firmware modules necessary for new versions to run properly.  It should boot but many menu items will simply not load or work.

Yes, I changed the file name, which was located in the same directory as the uploader exe. I also tried entering the full path of the correct file to no effect. The card was formatted, and the camera's connection was recognized by Windows XP. I don't really want an out-dated version so I'll be getting an SD reader. Thanks for the help.
