Advice on buying camera for first CHDK tryout

Hi all, new here

Need some advice on buying camera for a first CHDK tryout.

I'm from Peru and i can get a used SX130 or SX150 for a cheap price

Some reviews mention SX130 as having a more quality lens than SX150 but im not sure, i dont see much of a difference.

I can also get many ELPH models such as the 100 HS or 300 HS, as well as the A3400, A4000 or even an SX160 (though it's apparently unsupported).

Unfortunately i dont have access to S95 or S100 nor the G series.

I need a camera with manual controls, good image quality and RAW format, i'll be doing some soft Photoshop.

Thank you for your reply, forgot to mention i'll be doing mostly outdoor shoting, no higher than 200 ISO, and size is not a problem.

I go for SX150 then, i thought 130 had better quality and was more CHDK capable?

Saw your post about this on dpreview.

All Canon P&S camera that get ported to CHDK have the same capability (although there are occasional quirk - some will not do "firmware update" booting for example). Check the CHDK wiki page for any model you are considering - however the sx130 and sx150 in specific will be identical in CHDK capabilities.

As far as IQ goes, have you found a review that shows images from both cameras taken under "identical" conditions? I'd be surprised if there was much difference.
