Hello,

i'm new here because i have a canon powershot s100 and want to use chdk, but i have problems to use the dump.

up to now my steps were:
1. updated to the original canon firmware 102a
2. downloading CHDK_DE_s100-102a-1.2.0-full_BETA_rev_2889.zip
3. formating the sd card with fat32 and make it bootable (i used gparted because i have a ubuntu computer)
4. i copied the DISKBOOT.BIN und chdk folder to the sdcard
5. i locked the sdcard and put it in the camera
6. turned camera on with the normal button on the top

7. nothing happend, only the message sd card is locked

my second try was with LICKS, selected drive, marked bootable, selected the copy all files from chdk directory > prepare card > locked the sdcard > nothing happted when i turned the camera on

whats the matter? did i forget something?

Marking a fat32 partiion as being bootable is not the same thing as making it bootable for CHDK.

That sounds like it should have worked.  When you say "nothing happened" do you mean it booted normally except for a "card locked" message ?

You might want to read through this - the STICK utility linked at the top might work better for you?

But i only see the normal "HS Systems" Logo and the normal Screen and Settings-Menue. Nothing looks like chdk.

I tried the stick tool. It is the same problem.

Does the camera give you a "card locked" message on its screen?
