Regards, download several CHDK for canon a640 and I can do no more than 64 seconds of exposure and photograph the Milky Way nesesito much more than I can do

CHDK can enable much longer exposure times on many cameras. However, on some the limit is about 64 seconds.

The more common way to take photographs of the Milky Way is to take many exposures and "stack" them in software on you PC.   Here's a script to help you do that :
