Nice shots, but you really should be posting the bird names!

As far as I can tell:
1. Nuthatcher?
2. Cardinal (Female)
3. Hairy Woodpecker? (Possibly female - no red spot on the head)
4. ?

Hej,
What kinda focus did you use, joec ?
My robin is MF at around 50cm, I will try 30cm on the next sunny day, with my other cam 70cm maybe. And damned 1/1250s can't freeze a flying bird that close. :/

sorry about the names:

1. nuthatch
2. female cardinal
3. hairy woodpecker
4. female house sparrow

Here is a male house sparrow (not an action shot). it was shot with a macro setting - as was the female house sparrow.
i have been using auto focus ( the prefocus setting). usually use an iso200. camera is A540 on a tripod.
