Yep, CHDK is the only reason why I purchased a canon powershot.
I will probably be upgrading to a nikon D3200 (if something like CHDK comes out for it, if not then a canon T3i.
The dpreview site is currently down at the time of this post, but I have gotten some decent results with chdk.
While not cool, all of the 1280x960 (everything past the flag pole image) images were taken with a powershot A560, and all of the 4000x3000 ones were taken with a powershot sx 230 hs
