Ixus 860 IS replacement?

The lens mechanism of my Ixus 860 became damaged recently so I get a lens error now. :-(

What are my options w.r.t. replacement 860, repair or buying a newer chdk supported camera?
Which type of Canon camera is a slight upgrade from the 860?

I do hope these questions are fit for this part of the forum, if not please accept my apologies and please move the post to the appropriate spot.

PS: in case of replacing:
Is the Canon PowerShot SX260 HS Black a good choice?
I see better zoom, more pixels (not too important), gps etc but how usable is it all?
What about lens size versus sensor when comapred to Ixus 860?
Does the package work?

What is the right place to discuss the CHDK for SX260? (it is alpha...)
