I just tried to run the new yass4 script and I got an immediate termination after starting with the following message:  145: attempt to compare number with nil.
Let me guess ?  You're using CHDK 1.2.0 rather than 1.3.0 ?  Guess which version I used to test the script?

Bug fixed,  script version bumped to 4.4, available at the normal link.

Thanks for finding that.

I'm running CHDK 1.3, so says my splash screen on startup.

The script is running though.  Strange that it didn't work with my 1.3 version.  It's gotten darker than what I usually start the script with so it my not be ideal test for same same conditions.
I'll keep you up to date.

Thx.

Same bug but it was likely being triggered if you used MF rather than AFL as your "Focus @ Infinity Mode".   Changes in v4.4 repair that too.

Yeah, I did use MF.  I hope that's the right setting.  With so many different scripts and versions with different behaviors its hard to remember.

Thanks again wingz.

I've done a lot of work on CHDK's manual focus capability this year.  That work shows up in the code that implements "focus at infinity" in several of my recent scripts.

For 1.2.0 code, the choice of AFL or MF to set focus at infinity is a question of picking whichever one works. Sadly, in some cases, nothing works.

For 1.3.0 code, both AFL or MF should work for almost all cameras and at least one will work for every camera. It really should not matter which one you use.

Tonight's trial was a success. :D  I will try again tomorrow when there is a more dramatic change in lighting.

Thx

Updated to 4.5.   Added fix to make set_zoom and set_focus play together nicely on cameras like the A1200.

Please post the romlog: "miscellaneous stuff" -> "debug parameters" -> "save rom crash log"
Which CHDK build are you using?
