can I control my camera from C# ?

Hi guys,
I'm trying to write an app in c# that would be able to show video feed from a photo camera's viewfinder, as well as trigger taking a photo and receiving it.

So I wanted to ask, can CHDK be used to control the camera from a c# app via USB cable?
If not, maybe you could suggest some other firmware/library for doing it on a budget non-dslr camera?

CHDK has PTP support.
As for c#, there's this, no idea how usable it is.

I am partways thru a similar project using

https://github.com/mweerden/CHDKPTPRemote

as the basis. So far it is looking good and I can already control image and video capture via USB under VS2010 C# Express. Next step is to add LiveView with overlay - I have already had this running in test mode.
