Canon EOS - M

I just purchased the Canon EOS -M (Digic 5 mirrorless DSLR point & shoot hybrid. 18MP)
For $350.
The AF feature has to be fixed with a firmware update from Canon to speed things up, but seeing how affordable this camera is... This might make a great camera for cracking into.

It gets here this week... so I'll find out what's locked up on it.

I couldn't find any other posts about it...

CHDK is unlikely to ever support the EOS-M.

It's really too bad - CHDK has some nice features (like being able to focus to infinity and lock) that MagicLantern doesn't seem to care about, being more a project for video.

The Canon DSLR codebase is fundamentally different from the P&S codebase. It wouldn't make sense to port CHDK. If you wanted CHDK-like features, you'd be far better of contributing those features to ML, or creating your own ML fork if for some reason it was impossible to get your changes accepted.
