I have a Canon a4000 IS that I successfully made a bootable SD card with CHDK for, and used chdkptp with successfully.

I have no idea how, but now when I have the bootable SD card locked and in the camera, my computer (and any other I try) does not recognize that the camera is connected. There is no notification, and nothing appears  in the device manager. Unlocking the SD card allows the computer to recognize the camera, but does not let chdkptp communicate with it.

Is there a fix for this?

Make sure you have the CHDK USB remote disabled in the Remote menu ?

That did it. Not sure why it worked before, don't think I ever touched that menu.
