The SX610HS does not support video output in recording mode.
You can use chdkptp to see the live view, but that's not what you're looking for.

Thanks for the hint.
Unfortunately, I will not be able to deal with it in a reasonable amount of time, so I will not promise anything, too many obligations and too little time.  :(
