i tried the same steps and it didn't crash using this build
That's good.
If you (or the other testers) have some time to test, there still are untested parts of CHDK.
If you have a PC running Windows (or Linux), you could test these:
- Liveview
- CHDK palette - including making sure the overlay (Canon graphic elements, text, menu) appears correctly in remote Liveview
- JPEG remote capture (rs -jpg)
See the following pages for information:
http://chdk.wikia.com/wiki/PTP_Extensionhttps://www.assembla.com/wiki/show/chdkptpIf you can't do the computer related tests, you could still help by taking pictures of the camera LCD when the palette viewer is active 1) in play mode, 2) in rec mode.
The palette viewer can be found like this in the menu: "CHDK settings" -> "Color settings" -> "Draw palette"
Additionally, it could also help if you navigate to the 0x000075a4 address using the "Memory browser" (Miscellaneous stuff -> Debug parameters -> Memory browser) and writing down its DWORD value in play and in rec mode. Use the zoom lever and the directional buttons to enter the address.
The effectiveness of movie quality override also has not been verified yet.
