ptp ( ptpCamGui 2) it work like a charm.
If you could test with chdkptp, that would be even better (live view and the rs command).

however the reboot fonction it doesn't work, it's only turn off the camera
Found the correct function, should now work with the new build. Rebooting is only recommended with retracted lens!

To all testers: keep trying various features (for example does an 80 second exposure override now work?), and report things that don't work.

there's a little problem every time i start the camera using chdkptp i get stuck in play mode, i can only turn it off using power button and access to chdk menu thru help button.
however i find it that when i clic the rec in chdkptp every thing works

reboot fonction is fixed

If you mean the camera doesn't respond to key presses except alt, this is normal canon behavior when USB is connected.

You can probably unlock it using
=post_levent_to_ui(4484)

ptpcamgui might do this automatically.
Don't forget what the H stands for.

it doesn't. the rec button in chdkptp confused me, because it doesn't make sense to me, even the UI doesn't load the settings only after clicking on the rec button

Just paste it in the chdkptp console and press enter. This is the text area at the bottom of the screen if you are using the gui.

After you do this, you should be able to use the keys normally, so if you press the menu button, settings menu should appear.

I'm not sure I understand.

The rec button should switch the camera to shooting mode. This also unlocks keys.

I wonder why the hdr function doesn't actually mix the 3 photos it self. it just takes the 3 photos and saves.. :c

edit:

If I want to do long time lapsing (4h+) how the hell im going to do with this camera without running out of batteries? o.o

Taking 3 photos and saving is easy to do.  The goal was to make the three photos a different exposures so that you can use the appropriate software on your PC to produce the image effect from those pictures that you want.

Combining images in the camera would be very difficult or even impossible with a Lua or uBASIC script. And it would certainly be slow.

I've had time to play with the latest build now, and it seems to work well for all the basic functions I would normally use it for.  I set up the Remote (control mode = zoom) and could zoom in and out and take pictures remotely via an arduino without trouble.

Willing to test any other specific item that hasn't already been tested.  Is there a check list that a test build has to go through to become official?

AFAIK, nobody has created a pretty check list yet.   Until that happens,  there is always this :  http://chdk.wikia.com/wiki/Testing
