I found that I had to include __APPLE_CC__ along with __linux__ in tools/finsig_dryos.c where stricmp is redefined to strcasecmp, since apparently gcc on 10.8 doesn't have stricmp.

Not sure if __APPLE_CC__ is the right define to check (__APPLE__ is also defined), but the build at least went to completion.
