I updated with those changes, but you seem to have missed the card lock change... ( http://chdk.setepontos.com/index.php?topic=10728.msg106265#msg106265 ) - I'm getting the "No Memeory Card" message again.
 Those changes are there. http://subversion.assembla.com/svn/nafraf/chdk/platform/ixusw_sd430/kbd.c

To test filewritetask, connect to camera using chdkptp and run from chdkptp console:  rs -jpg. Image will be saved to your PC.  Type "help rs" to get more information.

To test long time exposure:
CHDK Menu -> Enhanced Photo Operations
Override TV [ Long Exp ]
  Long Exp. Value [00:01:10]

I think that after testing those functions, port is ready to be included in autobuild :)

Installing CHDKPTP was slightly painful. Not quite point and click  ::) however I have it running on my laptop now.

It works, most of the buttons do what they should and it takes pictures.

Result of the suggested test  "rs -jpg"

>  rs -jpg
wait time 1.8293

Only gotcha discovered so far, if I select some of the shooting modes by clicking the drop down list below the [REC] and [PLAY] buttons I can crash the camera.

I would say chdkptp works and long exposure works too.
The issue with unsupported modes crashing the camera in chdkptp not withstanding.

Modemap table has not been checked. It was copied from ixus700.
I guess that it is possible to use props to check the modes, there are instructions here

Interesting I'll take a look at that later. Thanks.

The example shown using propcase #49 doesn't seem to work with this camera (or I am doing something wrong).
I am however able to change to some of the modes, using the dropdown in CHDKPTP, but they just don't match up with the mode of the camera.
SCN_PORTRAIT looks to be Auto, and P looks to be Manual for example.
