Try with properties 0 or 236, those are the properties for  "Shooting MODE Dial position" in propcase1

Those values are used in shooting.c file, modemap[] table.  Update your working copy ;)
Is there any video mode?

Perfect, drop down now works. Only missing the Video mode.

Video mode added and works a treat, I want through all of the other modes and shot a few pictures in each from chdkptp.
Perfect. Thanks.

I think this build is ready for inclusion on the Auto build server.
(If I identify any more shooting modes, we can add them later).  :xmas

Just a question before including it to autobuild: I'm using ixusw_sd430 as platform name, is it fine? should I use the full name: ixuswireless_sd430?

It makes no difference to me personally, however I did spot a few other references to the camera else where, for example trawling through my own hard disk, I see...

/CHDK/WINGUI/DE/trunk/trunk10/platform/ixusW_sd430/

Note the capital -W-

I think there have been a couple of other stabs at porting this camera in the past, so perhaps going for ixuswireless_sd430 might keep things clean and ensure we don't trip over any of the old clutter.

A quick tidy up of any legacy ixusw and ixusW references might also be a good idea.

ixusw_sd430 (lower case W) sounds good to me. Long names make me  :'(

There was an old mostly empty directory for this camera at one point, but it was deleted a long time ago and shouldn't hurt anything.
Don't forget what the H stands for.
