Update: My bad, I'm not sure about it, but it seems I only have to change to the record mode and not the playback. That or maybe when I reinstall the libusbdotnet driver the problem fix itself.... maybe I'll never know.

Glad you like AstroKam but the credit really belongs to the coders who did the original work - all I do is wrap an astro wrapper around their modules.

The Live button only shows what is on your camera's LCD screen so you need to switch to record to look thru the lens. You can also use the Settings button to tweak the LCD settings such as turn it monochrome to show white stars on a black background.

I will release v3 later today which includes a module for sorting thru your captures before stacking.

Meanwhile, here is an animation of Comet Lovejoy that I caught with AstroKam before the rain came on.

OK. v3 of AstroKam is now available from the Wiki Page. Main change is a sort module to remove duff images prior to stacking.

AstroKam v4 is now available from the Wiki page. Main change is that you can now edit your capture plans before shooting (see attached screenshot).

The Sort module also now handles Canon .CRW and .CR2 raw files.

I tried the CHDK astrocam, but not working: "Sorry, This version expiried". I tried qucik test ptcamgui, it works with my Canon SX110is.

Any help welcome.

OK, I just uploaded version 5 so it should download from the main AstroKam wiki page.

The problem was that I also write commercial software and I had left a timebomb in the code that shut it down at the end of May. The timebomb is now defused so this version should see you out.

Can you post to let me know it is working OK for you?

Thanks for the new build. Now astrokam working (on my SX110IS), but some problem occured. Live view not always working. If camera in playback mode, go to record mode, the first live view picture displayed, but stopped with this message:

Error could not get live image: cannot reuse Bitmap; Dimension are incorrect "hunagrian message = in place: Chdkptpremote.session.Getliveimage(boolean set_active_area, rectangle@active_area, Bitmap old_im...

if camera in record mode, start astrokam live view working, but for example pressing shutter button on camea or trying to set manual focus, same error occured. I not know this bug in main camera chdk software or astrokam. Never use my camera with pc connected mode before.

Any help welcome.

This quick test only, requies more time to understand all function of astrokam. My mount currently has a big hardware problem, real sky test delayed.

Astrokam support external or internal autoguide programs with dirthering (canon small ccd has a strong not changing dark noise)?

dithering: after every exposure the mount is shifted to change the field of view for some pixels, that allows better eliminating dark noise, as the patterns do not sum up in the stack.
