Can't get Camera to load CHDk from Card( Elph 110HS (IXus 125)

Hi Folks,
I was able to download the correct CHDK for fimware 100.d Put it onto the root of my card. I did it with STICK and with direct download and unpack. When I put the card in the camera. The camera doesn't recognize the CHDK. In other words no change.
In fact when I tried to get the version of the firmware using the ver.req written onto the card it didnt respond to that either. I got the firmware version from STICK.
Any insights? Ive been all over the Website and haven't found out what is up? HAS some one actually done this and if so what did they find?

Did you put the SD card lock switch into the "Locked" position?

Yes I tried it in the locked position and the unlocked position. Neither worked .

STICK should work correctly. If you are directly downloading and installing yourself from a Mac then you probably want to look at this :

Reading your post I'm not sure if you actually used STICK to prepare the card - it sounds as though you downloaded and unpacked the build yourself. If you did just use STICK to do the whole download and card preparation then it definitely should have made a bootable card (and completely avoided the Mac problems that WaterWingz mentions).

Could you run STICK again and if it still doesn't work then email the sticklog.txt file that you'll find in the =same directory as STICK to me (daveATzenoshrdlu.com). I may be able to see what's going wrong.

I now have a Ixus 125-100d an ebay Cheapie, it appears to me to have a similar problem and
some others, probably due to incomplete camera CHDK porting and/or camera testing.

My Ixus 125-100e and Ixus 125-101a seem to work well but they also have some problems.
