Hi,

I installed CHDK on my IXUS and it works... until I rung GUI on my Raspberry PI.
If GUI in booted and I turn on camera I get a window prompting me if I want to mount USB disc. Even if I press 'Cancel' it doesn't make a difference.

If I then fun CHDK-PTP and run 'list' I get

___> list open_camera_dev_usb: ptp_opensession failed 0x2ff open_camera_dev_usb:usb_ptp_device_reset(): Device or resource busy usb_ptp_get_device_status(): Device or resource busy

I can connect to camera but if I run rec I get

ERROR: switch failed

This is dmesg

any ideas hot to set GUI to ignore USB?

You probably need to mess with the udev rules to prevent the default software from accessing the camera. See "Interactions with default software" in https://www.assembla.com/spaces/chdkptp/wiki/Install and the linked threads.

Unfortunately, this is distro specific and not very well documented, so there aren't simple step by step instructions.
