Hello guys ;)
I use CHDK on my Canon SX230HS camera. When i took a shot in RAW and DNG format , i see that the picture has 4 black angles , while the JPG one is perfect.
Here you can find a JPG exported from the CRW DNG file created by CHDK.
Thank you for your support.

Normal - a RAW image is what the sensor sees.  Canon applies corrections before creating a JPG file.  What you see there is lens vignetting.

not vigneting, distorsion. At  28 mm the lens issu not orthogonal and needs correction.

Hello

There is a way around this that will still enable you to shoot in RAW, even with filters attached. If I'm correct in thinking the minimum effective focal length is 24mm on the SX30 (I have the SX40, so assuming the same). All I did to eliminate the lens corners, is by adding another 6mm to the focal length; so zoom to 30mm basically every time you take a shot. Voila! No more distortion or lens corners. I tested this all the way to the maximum 840mm and works perfectly on my SX40. You lose very little focal distance by adding the 6mm.

I hope it will work for you too :)

If you have photoshop, here are some lens profiles for the camera.

save the files to C:\Users\user name\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\CameraRaw\LensProfiles\1.0
