Hi,

I'm brand new to this forum.

Not a techie at all, so please excuse the 'dumb' questions I can't seem to find any answer in the forums.

I'm interested to know if the above cameras (not the IXUS model numbers, but Elph) can work with CHDK. Most interested in simply using RAW capture with them.

Also, is the CHDK easy to load into the camera, and easy for layman to understand and use?

CHDK for Elph130 with canon firmware version 100A is available from the auto build server http://mighty-hoernsche.de/

Note that it's possible you could get an elph130 with a different canon firmware version. In that case, there is a fair chance that someone will be able to add support relatively quickly.

elph115 is not ported yet, but some work has been done http://chdk.setepontos.com/index.php?topic=10457.msg103339#msg103339

It's not the most user friendly thing in the world.

You can check out the setup instructions http://chdk.wikia.com/wiki/Prepare_your_SD_card and the manual http://chdk.wikia.com/wiki/CHDK_User_Manual to get an idea what is involved.
