Test from SX260. All looks fine.
Did you test with "Shoot full" enabled? sx240 crashes during set_aflock() if shoot_full enabled.

@waterwingz, is it worth to add the value of "shoot Full" parameter to logfile?

sx510hs test results in attachment.

Good idea.  It might be best to actually delete the option - I think I only made it possible to disable so people would not have to go back and delete the images.   At a minimum, I'll change it to default as "On".

It would be good to get a clearer understanding of exactly when/where this crash happens.
I was actually hoping the SX50 would fail so that I could test this.  But it has now sailed through the set_aflock() & set_mf() test with both Shoot Full & Bypass Interlocks enabled multiple times without a crash.

I was originally confused thinking it was the manual test after the AF test (hence my probably confusing comments earlier...), but I assume it's the set_focus in the second shot that fails? If the shot waits for
I''m hoping someone with a camera that crashes when Shoot Full is enabled can test and post the ROMLOG.

We already knew that trying to set focus while in pre-shoot crashed on these cameras, so I guess we ought to try to avoid that. We could fail set_focus when in pre-shoot, but on many cameras this is OK. Do we need another define?
Or just leave CAN_SD_OVER_IN_AFL undefined?

I enabled shooting and this time the A4000 crashed in the af_lock() test, which it didn't do when the shooting was disabled.  I've attached the output and the ROMLOG for just that test.  I didn't try disabling anything and redoing the test to get it to complete.

Thank you.

Crash is in FocusLensController.c code in keyboard task ( i.e the script engine)

So it seems to be something we are doing directly rather than something that's upsetting another task?

@rkomar :  can you retry with the attached version of the script.  This one adds a 4 second delay after setting focus.  It will be interesting to see if it still crashes when shooting is enabled.

TIA

Yes, it still crashes right after the the picture is taken.  The screen goes blank like it normally does during the shot, but it never comes back from that.

Looking at the log,  it completes the shot and logs the result.  It crashes at some point after that.

Here's another version - this time it inserts a delay before the set_focus() call as well as one after it.  Maybe we are trying to focus too soon after the previous shot finishes?

Your post is missing a comment but I assume the 1st log (and all the ones before) had RAW enabled?  And the second one you posted has RAW disabled?

Interesting - same function when it crashes but different active task.  You didn't attach the .csv file but I assume you ran the "b" version that has delays before and after the set_focus().

I'm out of ideas for now.  I think I'll wait for reyalp to crawl out of his cave.
