Thanks Phil.  I notice the IXUS700 reports being in AUTO rather than P mode?

I guess we should look at getting the G12 into AFL by issuing set_aflock() while a shoot_half is active.

I'm guess its a propcase3 camera and does not have the propcases update for ServoAF and ContinuousAF that were added yesterday?   That's why both values show as -999 ( = nil ).   Any chance the camera was actually in either of those modes?  (as I can't tell from the log).

And have you ever been able to do SD overrides with that cam?

Yes, me too, but the other three now work.  In fact, the results are the inverse of the results I got in Normal focus mode.

And Safety MF was OFF, in both cases.

The MF thing makes sense now that I think about it.  If you turn it on prior to running the script, the script effectively turns it off.  Which would make sense except that your csv files shows the camera setting focus correctly with just set_focus().  It should not have failed.   Grrrrrr.....

Also,  I'm thinking that maybe the propcase for Servo_AF is wrong somehow for the A590?  Yours reports as 31 (??) and you get different results than peabody.

This continues to be an interesting exercise - so far no tidy answers like I'd naively hoped.

Edit : I think the funky nature of the #defines that was talked about above is biting us in the provebial rear end.  Thanks for all the help so far .. hope we get more cameras in.  Once the #defines are sorted out,  we probably need to impose on everyone to try the tests again.  Groan ...

Ignore the IXUS700 - SD override is disabled in platform_camera.h

Mine is 30 whether IS is enabled (shoot-only) or disabled.
