CHDK on Canon Rebel in order to achieve Movie Mode?

Hi all,

I am wondering if anyone has contemplated porting CHDK to the Canon Rebel XT or XTi. These cameras already have RAW mode, but they lack Movie mode. The documentation for the cameras (when last I saw it) said they used Digic processors.

Thanks.

Not possible. Sensor do XT, XTi (350D, 400D) doesn't support video modes

It's different story with 40D and 450D, they have live view and probably could have some sort of video mode, but they don't (probably marketing reasons). But it's to be expected that in the future, DSLR cameras will have video mode

It is mainly because the processor can not support a HD video record progress.
