The reason I asked is that Canon applies increasing noise reduction on its 200,400,800,1600 ISO images.  The amount of noise reduction is determined by the (market) ISO of the raw data.  Maybe this is confusing.  What I mean is: The camera develops its raw data differently depending on the ISO that it thinks the data was shot at.

Probably you had it at 80 ISO for all examples in which case the development to jpeg would not do much, if any noise reduction.

Ahh, excellent point! Now I understand your question. All my pictures were taken at ISO 80 but when I press the shutter halfway, the camera returns a value very close to the one I entered in the ISO override menu. Of course it is a rounded number, but I believe the calculations are still correct.
