RAW Average - how to use

Hi

new user here!  Just loaded CHDK 1.03A Alpha onto SD card for Powershot S110 and am having trouble using RAW Average.

I can find the raw files with File Browser, and appear to be able to select three .CR2 files (turn yellow).  However, when applying RAW Average nothing happens, no new raw file?  The instructions are a bit vague in the manual.  Could someone please explain use in a bit more detail.  Perhaps the averaged RAW gets located elsewhere, maybe this ALPHA doesn't work fully yet?

Cheers
Duncan

Your camera has native Canon Raw,did you use Chdk Raw or Canon Raw files?
Raw develop functions probably works only with Chdk Raw.

Thank - you may be right.  Probably not in ALT mode.  When I press the shutter a script runs and terminates without taking a shot ( I think it it is README.txt).  How do I disable script running?

OK got it going now.

For those newer to this than me - averaging does not do any alignment so sub-images must all be exactly in register , e.g. tripod required.

Just adding one more observation -  Aperture 3 imports the CHDK DNG files with no apparent need to use an alternative RAW decoder such as Rawker.

I averaged two noisy files and it is quite clearly effective at reducing noise.  Will try quadruplicate exposures and see how that goes.
