I've been struggling to get the restart script/s in CHDKworking on my Powershot 300 HS working with no success so far, although I have received advice from the denizens of this board. No luck so far.
I assume you are talking about this script :

I want to buy an additional small Canon - this time one which definitely works with the scripts which have been posted on the CONTINUOUS VIDEO SCRIPTS page. I have also been through the massive list of Canon cameras which are CHDK friendly with respect to the restarting after the 10 minute limit and tried to find one which is available.
Those scripts are pretty simple - if the camera will run CHDK, it will run those scripts.
There is also a shorted list of cameras that simply bypass the limit in the core CHDK code.
Could anyone please advise me on a Canon model which is actually available for sale, not discontinued, that is known to work ok doing the restart thing?
Stick with the models listed on the right hand side of the main page of the CHDK wiki :
http://chdk.wikia.com/wiki/CHDK If they are listed there, they will run the script.
Unfortunately, CHDK development usually lags the Canon release cycle. And many recent Canon releases will not work with the current CHDK code at all so it will be some time before those are posted.
