The version you sent me is showing the CHDK splash window, shows a message "Test version expired". I can start a limited menu . At least it booted. What I notice is that firmware version is 100A. I am using 101A.
I need 101A to compare with the frmware I generated.
Please read and understand this wiki page before doing any more posting here :

You are missing some fundamental understanding that you will need before going any farther.

For example,  the CHDK version you MUST use on your camera needs to match the actual firmware version of your camera.  You can't just pick a random version to use or use the one with the highest version number thinking its the latest.  If your camera has firmware version 1.00a then you need to use the CHDK version for 1.00a.

Did you read my previous post about firmware versions?  You can't just try different firmware versions and expect them to work!  You have to use the one that matches the firmware version of your camera.

Yes I read it.

I am just trying to compile and run  this source tree that you sent me \sx170is\platform\sx170is\sub\101a\ after the patch you kindly applied. I could succesfully compile but I had the problem when try to run. I think there is a misunderstanding because I downloaded the source tree from janeoyuri post and you applied the necessary patch.

I am not getting any firmware from other camera at random and try to use in the SX170.
If I can compile and generate a working version I can help testing it because I have worked with CHDK for several other cameras. And I really want to make CHDK run in my SX170.

Thank you so much for your attention.

That source tree is for cameras with firmware version 1.01A.   Your camera ( based on previous posts ) has 1.00a.    You can confirm that using the tools available at the link I suggested you read.   The ACID tool listed there will tell you.

You have been asked multiple times to confirm what firmware version your camera has.  We are not just doing that because we like asking that question.  There is a reason we ask.  Can you now guess what that is ?

If your camera does in fact contain firmware version 1.00A then there is no point building a CHDK release designed for cameras with firmware 1.01A.   As I've said at least once,  the firmware version that CHDK is built for must match the firmware version in your camera.

I only provided a 1.01A source tree as that is what you asked for.

Good Morning garden.
I think the development was stopped by an error, apparently.

What kind of error?
Can you send  me your development source tree so that I can compile and test SX170is and try to help?
Thanks
