Hi,

i finished my remote-thingy-device so i can fire off my a620 and the s3is at the same time.
here is the problem: while my a620 uses flash in either automode (well, when its dark) or in "flash-forced" mode, the s3is is unable to flash. i used the standard remote script which uses the "shoot" command. i "unfolded" the flash, start the script, shoot my remote - the pic is taken without flash. when i disable the script (leave alt mode) and press shutter on my own flash is fired.
any experience?

ps: normally i dont need flash that much, but i wanna use the s3is' flash to ignite the slave flash, which i need for highspeed things.

hm, scratch that, dont know what was causing this.

releasing shoot_full also releases shoot_half (if I recall right)

well according to UBASIC/TutorialScratchpad - CHDK Wiki shoot_full waits for no thing and straight shoots, regardless of focus, flash etc. this would mean it omits shoot_half.
anyways, the problem with the flash seems to be solved, dont know what was causing it. and yes, i checked if it was caused through my own "branch" of chdk :p
its now working. thanks for your help :)
btw barney, slave flash is syncing to highspeed. well, there isnt the need of full-fledged syncing, since flash is "on" much longer than the actual shoot. the way i see it, the camera first fires the flash then opens shutter. flash duration is long enough to light the scene & ignite the slave which in return also lights the scene.
