Hi everyone! I'm controlling my SX50 Camera through PC using ptp feature provided by chdk. I want to decrease time between command sent and take photo operations. Currently it takes about 500ms to take photo after command is sent through PC. I want to skip Focus/Exposure on Half press which takes most of time during shooting. Is there any way to skip that step during shooting?? please help

The set_aflock() & set_aelock() script functions should do what you want.  They will lock focus & exposure at whatever the current setting is, preventing the camera from repeating those steps during the following half-press operations.

The fastest option is to use continuous mode, either rs -cont or the rsint function described in http://chdk.setepontos.com/index.php?topic=6231.490

There are some other discussions of shooting quickly in that thread.
Don't forget what the H stands for.
