Once again,  a difficulty testing with a camera configuration that I don't have.   I tricked my G10 into thinking it does not have an ND filter and retested.  Fixed version here :  CHDKplus.lua BETA v1.8

Thanks again for testing and reporting.

Update :  the exposure meter on the right hand side currently does not scale properly when the OSD size changes.

CHDKplus.lua BETA v1.8:Cheked with SX130IS again. In all modes No Issues.Great !And many many Thanks to waterwings !
Edited:The Meter Reading on the right side in ISO and other modes also is OK with this Cam.
Maybe not Issue in all Modes: After Half Press, the Preview of future Scene on the Display is very short in normal light conditions, disappearing fast and then the display is overexposed. The taken Photo is OK.
Thanks again for Great job !

If you scale the display (press the DISP button multiple times) until you have the 2x2 scaling (i.e. largest size) you will notice that the meter needle only moves over 1/2 of the expanded range.  A simple scaling y-factor change will accomodate that in the next release.

I'm afraid there will be differences in how this works for different camera models.   To be precise, does the display stay in preview mode while the half press shutter button is held down and just dissappear when the button is released?  Or does it dissappear while the button is held down?

FWIW, you can check exposure by pressing the FUNC./SET button too.  I need to add some code to "hold in preview mode" when that button is held down.

With previous version the Display stayed 1 second or less while the Button was held down and then the Display brightness go to maximum. No preview is available. After Full Press, taken picture is Ok in accordant with chosen exposure, but the  brightness on the display is still to maximum and no preview is abailable.
-----------------------------
With version 2.0 Beta all is OK.Preview is OK during Half Press independently now long half press stay down, and still is OK after Full Press to take a Picture.Script was loaded with LoadCHDKPlus.lua.
Many Thanks for this Great Job waterwingz.

Very happy to see your amazing script develops.
What do you think about an old style red color when the ev adjust bar points out an over/under exposure? Green color usually stays for OK/regular ... just for nuisance  :)

EDIT
Some problems with the loader at ISO mode.
EDIT#2
ISO mode no more selectable even if CHDKplus directly loaded

Many Thanks again.

On my ixus125 even the preview thing doesn't work regularly with eV compensation. BTW Tv variations seem fine.
