CHDK does not change the range available in the canon interface. You set the exposure you want in the overrides and shoot.
Thanks. Works fine. I was able to take a 60 second exposure in a darkened room. I suppose this camera will go over 64 seconds.
I am able to have exposures over 60 seconds, such as 30, seconds, 90 seconds, 2 minutes, and 5 minutes.
However, the display is somewhat confusing / misleading.
In the upper left corner, there are small red numbers indicating hh:mm:ss, and are consistent with what was entered in the over-ride.
Oddly, in the lower left corner, the value 60" appears in rather large numbers: For example, 2 minutes, 30 seconds:
**************************************************
* 00:02:30 *
* *
* *
* *
* *
* 60" *
**************************************************
Also, the EXIF in the .cr2 is ok for 30 seconds to 60 seconds, but remains at 60 seconds for exposures over 60 seconds. Should I change to the camera making a .dng, or would that not made a difference?
