Please test this version, this include previous patch to fix set_led, simpler loader code, and CHDK is loaded in ARAM.

The patch file is only useful if you can compile CHDK from source code.

The other file ( .zip ) is used in place of the one you downloaded from the CHDK autobuild server.  Instructions on how to do that are here :  http://zenoshrdlu.com/stick/stickx.html

You don't need to compile your version. The zip file is ready to use, you can install it using STICK. See the link posted by waterwingz

Thanks again for your time.

However, i am having no success here.
When using Stick i have to choose either stable or dev version and Stick then finds a valid version which
happens to be 102c.
So unless there is a way of forcing it, it uses a released version.
i can see no apparent way to direct Stick to use the supplied .zip file even if renamed to test102c.
I have tried extracting the zip into the diectory called trunk chdk and used the same folder name that stick created for a released download, stick then says its already downloaded "use it".
If i try this it goes through the motions and apparently completes, but has several folders missing.
with the card locked the camera gets stuck on the blue canon screen and you have to remove the power to reset. copying the missing folders from a prev version allows cam to start but with "card locked" error (in playback mode), and there is no option to update firmware from the menu.

Did you rename it as test102c or test102c.zip ?  And did you copy it to the folder containing STICK ?

If you don't have success with stick and custom build, you can try the following:
1) Install CHDK using stick. After this, your SD-card will be bootable.
2) Unzip the content of  custom build that I posted previously to your SD-card. CHDK version installed by STICK will be overwritten, and you'll have a custom version installed.
3) Lock SD-card and test it in your camera.
