Hi,

I am walking now through the code of CHDK to learn about it and the more you read the more you want to get ;).

What I want to know now is there any function in CHDK that can show an image or small part of an image on the screen?
The image should be JPG, or better PNG and is saved on the SD card. This image I want to show on the CHDK screen somewhere. Is that possible?

If Yes - how?
If No - Why not?

No. 

There is a small routine that displays the logo bitmap but AFAIK nobody has added jpg decoding code or figured out where that is in the Canon firmware.
