HDR, usual stuff

Hand-held, one-click, 3 seconds or less  8)

Av/Tv bracketing +/- 2EV.
Custom burst mode, 2 seconds delay, 3 frames.

If RAW is turned on it takes up to 10 seconds to capture the frames. I steady the cam with my hands, no need to set up a tripod most of the times. Post processing: noise removal, alignment, HDR stacking.

Final sample attached below.

Hej,
I usually dislike much HDR pics cause most people push it a bit too much and the result most of time is not-natural-looking pics.
Here you managed to avoid it which is good imo.

Yes, I had a chat with someone last night about that...

HDR means high dynamic range. Taking several shots at different ranges to blend and simulate a large range on a small range (real vision on limitations of a display).

Tone mapping on the other hand is different, it is the actual culprit for those surreal shots.

So I would rather use my CHDK given powers to improve what my camera already does. If the subject is not moving, I can just hold my camera in my hands and press a single button for each subject. Then, in the confyness of my home, I can create better looking subjects.

If Barney reads this, I tried to take +4/-4EV shots on this case, and there is just way too little information present.

handheld eh?!

Did you use special software for the alignment or did it "by hand" too?

PhotoAcute seems the best fully automatic alignment tool so far. easyHDR and Photoshop can't achieve the same performance.

I tried with the TIFFs hugin throughs out, but didn't get that good results.
However I think hugin's images match very good.

PS.: Why did acseven install that red-dotted-underline for wrong words, that's not amazing to see all the mistakes instatnly! :(

In the editor so In german: <--- :haha <-Even the smiley-codes get red-dotted underlinings.
"Fehler" -> "<b><u>Vehler</u></b>" -> "Error"

SO HAPPY OFFTOPIC: Why does OFFTOPIC get underlined in editor??  :P

Which red-dotted-underline you are talking about?
I have spell checker installed for Firefox. And if I disable it, there is no such red-dotted... :)
