Hi guys, been running with this option set (pause when usb connected) for some time now but noticed an anomaly.
I have been connecting usb lead to a laptop each week and using cut and paste to transfer images, then unplugging usb lead and allowing ultimate intervalometer to continue. All appeared great.

However although everything looked great, it was actually 'copying' the images to the laptop not 'cuttiing and pasting'.

Windows reported that the sd card image directory was empty after the cut and paste procedure, when in actual fact all the images were still there but invisible to windows.

If you remove sd from camera immediately after this procedure and put into card reader of same laptop all the images you just cut and pasted are still on the sd card.

Found this out when my card became full and intervalometer stopped to await me to allow file space.

This was on an A530 and tests on an a800 are the same.

I have noticed when you plug in usb and ultimate intervalometer pauses, you can apparently cut and paste and verify the folder is empty but when intervalometer resumes the image count is the same as before the procedure (did not notice this before whilst up the ladder holding the laptop).

I'm going to test on an a1200 and a2300 to see if results are the same.

Any Ideas?, have i missed a setting somewhere?

It seems unlikely it's anything the script is doing.  Have you tried the same procedure with the script not running?

i'm thinking the same as you here. I shall conduct a number of tests with different parameters.

I am thinking this has got something to do with the write protect switch on the sd card to auto run the script or something strange with Windows 7 "starter". So a diffent laptop is on the cards for testing too.

Will post back later with results.

Step one is probably to just start the camera with the card unlocked ( i.e. no  CHDK) and see what happens when you C&P a few pictures.   Then try it with the card locked but not in CHDK <ALT> mode.

This is a bit Bizarre.
The A530 does it with script running on both windows xp which is nor irrelevant and win7 starter. All other versions of windows 7 are fine.
A800 does it only on windows 7 starter, all other versions are ok
A1200, a1300, a2300, A2400, Work always even with win7 starter.

Prob resolved by upgrading netbook to full version of windows 7.

What a time waster.

Strange that the script running makes a difference.

I am so glad that my car engine management is not windows based.
