I like the chdk, I just use it for 2 weeks but it is so nice. I take pictures from a RC airplane.
But how can I switch off the IS (image stabilization). (film and photo mode).
Normaly (without chdk) I use the P mode.

The camera is a S100

Go into the Canon menu and set IS mode to off.

I don't think there is a way to do this from CHDK, outside of simulating the key presses, but it's remembered across restarts, so you don't have to do it every you start the camera.
Don't forget what the H stands for.

This will not help switch off IS,  but it has advanced exposure control and much much more  : KAP UAV Exposure Control Script
