I know the chdk developers work on this just for fun, altruistically
But I was wondering if it could be a good idea to tip a developer whom we choose, who has helped us to improve our canon cameras functionalities. The tip should be something small and voluntary, like 5$ in cryptos with low fees... ethereum, stellar lumens, nano(rai), gridcoin (for the sake of science),Monero, zcash, litecoin...
The dev could include the address in his signature.
Bitcoin is unusable for this thing as fees are incredibly expensive.
Or maybe it is a bad idea.

Involving money (in crypto form) in a pure free activity sometimes rots the activity, and perverts the riginal idea. Greed could take control of this wonderful project, and the main goal could shift from a free project, into another one whose only goal is to make profit.
Any ideas?
