Thanks. Committed in 5609. Also removed the alpha and beta labels
Thanks for the hint but I think that I'll put it on the roundtuit list somewhere near the bottom for now.  Unless someone shows up and really wants the video ability.
I never bothered to implement it on elph130 either

@Caefix: Here's a test build for issues reported in https://chdk.setepontos.com/index.php?topic=6231.msg145944#msg145944

Please check the usual sizes in still, video recording and fisheye. Also check the frame buffers "worm" with and without video recording.

;) Always upper/2 now. In VGA Video is flickering as fisheye.
(Fisheye full size, flickers 1:3 with last playback pic before recording.)
buffers 0..3 in rec, 0..7 in play.   :-[   ptpCamtest 25/1

Palette got crazy over night, no setting changed...
On the cam are the colors some shades of "set color" + b/g/w. in rec, w/w in play...

Do you mean fisheye flickers? If so, what is the buffer list when that happens?

Thanks, I made a mistakes with the palette.

New test build. Palette and maybe some flickering should be fixed.
Sizes are not fixed, but some debug values are shown. Please screenshot or report the values of VH, VW and YS in:
fisheye
P mode
video recording in FHD, HD, and VGA

ptpCamtest 25/1
It looks like something failed related to creating the directory muptest on the camera. I don't know what would cause this, but maybe there's something weird on the card?

FHD&
HD    720    480/360     2
VGA  720    480/480     2
r is recording video? What is p? Note when we say "rec mode" we mean shooting mode, and "playback" means displaying already shot images / video. The VW / VH values are only valid in rec.

Fisheye 720  240          1  buf 0..3
But otherwise, buf is 0-7 when not recording video?

P        720    360           2
What is your image aspect ratio set to?

Img ratio always 16:9 & Yes, 0-7 while not rec.  :)
p was pause here...
 3:2 is VH 360 in rec, 428 else. (F)HD
               480,          428         vga
 4:3         360           480
               480           480
 1:1 FW=544 else

[640] on the left looks same on cam & Fisheye flickers...

Thanks for the additional information.
1:1 FW=544 else
Don't understand this one.

FWIW, you don't need to check every still image resolution with video recording. Recording effectively sets the aspect ratio to 16:9 or 4:3 depending on the video option.

Also, can you confirm the physical screen on this cam is 4:3, and if you choose 4:3 or VGA video, the image covers the whole screen?

Here's a new test build. If chdkptp sizes are OK, please check zebra too. Basically:
Aim at a bright light or something so the zebra shows some overexposure.
Move the aim around so the over exposed part moves to different parts of the screen, and make sure the zebra is on the right part of the image and not cut off.
Don't forget what the H stands for.

the thousandst-dollar question  ;) ...  VW=544 I meant.
It looks all right now, just if set 1:1 the VGA video seems shifted/cut right side.
Zebra all fine, too.

Thanks, checked in. Video offset in 1:1 should be fixed too.

One more thing to test: Can you check the result of MD_Tune.bas https://chdk.fandom.com/wiki/Testing#MD_tune.bas with the attached build
