Hiding zoom value on OSD (IXUS 55)

I have an IXUS 55 and have used CHDK to disable the LCD "power saving" timeout and also to remove all the on-screen clutter, except for one thing which is when the zoom factor is 3 or above the OSD displays the zoom factor.

Is there an out of the box CHDK setting to remove this - or does anyone know if a script exists to hide the zoom value?

The reason I need to remove it is I'm using the composite AV out as an input to a video processing system I'm putting together and the AV out seems to send whatever image appears on the screen.  So I guess another solution would be a setting or script which just relays the image received directly to the AV out without adding any OSD info.

See this thread for a possible solution. You'll find a Lua script there, you can use that as a starting point. You can find the script command reference here: http://chdk.wikia.com/wiki/CHDK_Scripting_Cross_Reference_Page
If drawing over the Canon graphic doesn't help, another solution is to find the Canon palette and change all its entries to 'transparent' - this requires some research though.

srsa_4c -

Many thanks for that.  I'll give that script a try.
