Hello,

I am a newbie; I have installed sx230hs-101b-1.2.0-3428-full_BETA on my SX230 (1.01B revision).
I have started to play with time-lapse photos;

I encounter the following problems:

(i) The manual zoom lever is non-active. Is there a simple way to recover an operating zoom lever under CHDK ? (either while having a script running, or still with CHDK but no script running)

(ii) I am operating the mode with the small switch on the SD card to 'protect', so that CHDK springs to life when I start the camera; however, what is the way to prevent the "last script used" to be launched right away ? (in my case time lapse). Is there a script "do nothing" that I should load before turning the camera off ?

a first question: Have you read the CHDK user manual? => http://chdk.wikia.com/wiki/CHDK_1.2.0_User_Manual

(i)
You must leave the CHDK <ALT> mode. Then you can use the zoom lever for zooming.

(ii)
CHDK saves the last used skript in a configuration file. When you load another script, the configuration is overwritten.

thanks for your feedback.

Yes I have made a first reading of the CHDK user manual.

My problem is that I would like to *access zoom controls while CHDK is running*, and preferably using the zoom lever for convenience.
A simple example of use might be to use the standard functionalities of the camera, while saving photos under both jpg and raw, thanks to CHDK added functionalities.

Is there a simple way to do that ?

Sorry, you did not read the manual properly.

CHDK is always running when it was launched. In <ALT> mode you can make CHDK settings and run CHDK scripts. All other CHDK functions are available outside the <ALT> mode, e.g. RAW images.

OK, great , thanks for this important precision, that I had not understood at all.

It's running fine now (one of my initial problem is that I had not identified what button corresponded to the "Alt button" .
