Hi,

Thank you for doing this great job so that all the extra's can be derived from my Canon HS280X ( v1.02b).
As I'm new to the CHDK I still need to find my way through the menu's and settings. Those Tiny OSD fonts really annoy me so any help on using larger fonts would be highly appreciated.
I also tried to use the OSD Layout Editor, but each time I entered the menu the camera turns itself off after 5 seconds. Could this be a camera crash ? The FUNC.SET - button nor the DISP. button cause any change in this menu. .. see attachment for the ROMLOG.log , I hope it is of any Help.

Looking forward for a next release !!!!

You can choose somewhat bigger fonts for the CHDK menu (CHDK settings -> menu settings -> language & fonts -> menu RBF font).

Yes, thanks for the report. The crash is due to "division by zero" - this bug doesn't hurt regular CHDK cameras.

The attached prealpha6 fixes this.

Changes since prealpha5:
- temporary fix for the possible lockup during movie recording
- CHDK now gets the number of remaining JPEGs right, this corrects the remaining RAW count display
- Possibility of division by zero eliminated in GetRawCount() (platform/generic/wrappers.c)

I have a 280SX HS with 1.02C firmware.
When do you think it will be available to beta testers?

You don't need to build it yourself, the latest prealpha is right here on this forum page.
If you decide to install:

Newbie with CHDK. Waiting for my sx270 IS from Amazon in Spain.

Unfortunately without the knowledge to help in this development. My acknowledgement to whose are working to get this new CHDK.
